Upon our first year delivering the 4-4-2 Reading Challenge, in partnership with Scottish Libraries and the SPFL Trust, we can show the findings of the project.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the project was cut short by 3 months. However, we still managed to engage with 2804 children across 17 schools. A total of 110 new Library members, 918 books borrowed with a total of 368 children attending the library from the programme in Dumfries and Galloway.

Reading plays a big part in a Childs education. To be able to combine sport and education. This is a fantastic vehicle to get sport fanatics in to reading and avid readers in to sport. The programme has shown a positive outcome and the club are over the moon to have played a part in such a successful project.
