It is our mission to provide and promote variety of inclusive and sociable sporting activities to all members of the local community.
In order to achieve our goals we offer a range of activities throughout the region, and within our three local Community Trust facilities:
Palmerston Park, King George V Complex and Lochmaben Community Centre.
Palmerston Park
Home of Queen of the South Football Club, Palmerston Park regularly hosts football and sports activities. The Arena boasts two, first class indoor, artificial 7-a-side pitches, available for local clubs and groups.
In addition to the excellent pitches, the Arena has it’s own café serving delicious food and coffees as well as being home to a range of local businesses. Including Hairdressers, Q-fitness, the BBC, James Hallam insurance brokers and the Club Shop!
King George V Complex
KGV has a Multi-Use Games Arena which can be used for all kinds of sports and events with 3 tennis courts available, an 11-aside pitch which can be used as three 8-aside pitches and a fully equipped fitness suite and gym. The facility hosts a variety of sports and events, including hockey, football, tennis and events, while the gym offers personal training and group sessions.
Lochmaben Community Centre
A local community centre outwith Dumfries used for community fitness and sports activities such as walking football, volleyball and gymnastics. The centre also regularly hosts soft play for nursery and school ages, birthday parties and events, as well as other services.
