World book day has came around again and to celebrate we had reserve team manager Wullie Gibson visit NWCC. This was to spread the word on the 4-4-2 Reading challenge.
The reading challenge is aimed at primary school children. However Wullie delivered insight to the power that reading holds to the s1-s3 students at the school to highlight the benefits not only educationally but creatively.
As always reading is a huge part of the curriculum and we believe that football has the power to increase the amount of children reading books. This has shown with the vast uptake from the local schools with this initiative.
